It&rsquo;s the instinctive part that reacts in nanoseconds to images and sensations, deciding instantly whether we like or don&rsquo;t like something. The tank brain, by contrast, is our slow, analytical thinker. It&rsquo;s deliberate, rational, but easily bored.[[/p]]

[[p]]Marketers, Laurier says, often make the mistake of appealing only to the tank brain. But real connection, and real decision-making, happens when we engage the dog brain first.[[br /]]
